We are blessed to have a great group of volunteers help us every month with the Young at Heart Ministry. This group of people help in a large number of ways.
- Call each person on our calling list every month to inform them of the luncheon and determine if they will attend
- Handle mailings such as our monthly newsletter
- Handle sign-up for our Day Trips and Annual Trip
- Manage name tag table and register visitors
- Cook the meals
- Serve the meals
- Set the tables
- Decorate
- Drive the bus and vans
- Assist with parking
These are the regular monthly responsibilities. We also have volunteers who occasionally help with music; such as piano, organ and special music.
Each year we honor our regular volunteers with a nice luncheon. This week (May 5, 2009) we had a nice time of fellowship and enjoyed some great food at the Melting Pot in Centerville. I think everyone enjoyed this experience and the time of fellowship with each other.
