By now most of you know that I am a bit of a techie. I enjoy computers and computing technology. This includes the Internet and blogs such as this one. I have several other blogs that I have started and I am also currently the webmaster for WHBC. You also know by now that I love photography. Prior to my appointment as your pastor, I was also the program director for a local digital photography group. So, this blog will include the use of some of my tools and skills with technology.
However, this cannot succeed without providing some benefit for you that will encourage your continued returns to see what is happening next. We can make this blog as active as you desire and we can include material that you wish to see (within the charter of our group). So, please provide your suggestions and comments.
You can make this easy to find and return to by simply saving this Web Address as a Favorite (Bookmark). Just click Favorites and then "Add to Favorites". Depending on what web browser you are using this could be different.
In the current newsletter (March 2008), we mentioned the Ohio Homestead Exemption. If you have not yet filed for this exemption, you should follow this link to find the form, print it, and then fill it out and send to your county auditor. You must do this before June 2, 2008 for a refund. All information is provided on the site with this link. HOMESTEAD EXEMPTION INFORMATION The form is also available here. HOMESTEAD EXEMPTION APPLICATION This file is in Portable Document File format (PDF) and most computers will already have a program for reading and printing this document (Adobe Acrobat Reader).
You should also check out the links to the right. We will be adding more as we think helpful. If you have suggestions, let me know.
YAH Purpose
The Young at Heart Ministry is for Senior Adults (those past retirement age) in the Dayton, Ohio area. We provide times of fellowship and entertainment during our monthly Luncheons. We also provide the opportunity to see interesting places and things around the area during our monthly Day Trips. Once a year (sometimes more frequently) we offer a longer trip to see areas far from Dayton. All of our programs are designed to be honoring to our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.
