This month we enjoyed music and juggling by David Cain. His two children joined him and it didn’t even cost us any more!
To start, Nancy played piano for our Early Bird Prelude time before the actual program. Yes, you heard it right, Piano, not Organ.
Not to be outdone, David Cain sat down at the piano and played an original piece that he wrote! He also sang with it. Now, that is real versatility!
And of course a program with David wouldn’t be right without his juggling and jesting. He is world renowned as the “Juggler for Jesus” because of his way of tying in the Bible with his juggling skills. He juggles all kinds of things, including balls, ten pins, Knives, and now even Japanese Rice Bowls.
But, he can do still more! He also does tricks with a lasso and with whips.
At the end of his act, his kids agreed to come up and help. So, they joined in on the fun. The daughter is also a world champion. Perhaps, I shouldn’t ask who you preferred but I know you always enjoy children and I received may very good comments about this program. I’ll take that as a vote to have them return, some time.
Incidentally, the background for this is for our Vacation Bible School which took our normal 2nd Week of the month. We had an International Spy Academy throughout the church.
As always, we enjoyed the cooking and services of the cooks and servers.
Next month, normal second Tuesday (July 8) we’ll enjoy a return performance by our favorite Story Teller, Stephen Hollen. He is busy doing all kinds of different things including being a Medicine Peddler and Telling Stories from his Appalachian background. He’ll return in time to do that for us next month. Stories from Down Home!
