YAH Purpose

The Young at Heart Ministry is for Senior Adults (those past retirement age) in the Dayton, Ohio area. We provide times of fellowship and entertainment during our monthly Luncheons. We also provide the opportunity to see interesting places and things around the area during our monthly Day Trips. Once a year (sometimes more frequently) we offer a longer trip to see areas far from Dayton. All of our programs are designed to be honoring to our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.

Dayton Christian Middle School and High School Strings Performance

Our March 10th Luncheon meeting with performances by the Dayton Christian Middle School and High School Strings groups was outstanding. If you missed it you missed a very special program.

If you want to hear this performance, you can listen to it HERE. The first part of the program (for our "Early Birds") included piano music by Zach and Stephanie.

As normal, You can double click most images for a larger view

The two girls on the left below performed a nice violin duet.

The real performance in this photo is partially blocked ; but you can see Christopher playing the Cello to the right of the harp.

Below, we see Olivia playing the Double Base. She is also the Harp musician.

The program finale included string groups from the Middle School and High School playing “Canon in D” and leading us in "For the Beauty of the Earth” and “O Worship the King”. Tracy Miller led the singing.

I always enjoy hearing the kids perform and Dayton Christian provides some very good groups. We will plan to have a group here again before this year is out.
